Private equestrian coaching

45-minute private coaching session — £45
Recommended for most riders, allowing time to warm up, work properly on the focus of the lesson and cool down.

30-minute private coaching session — £39
Available for riders who need or prefer a shorter session.

Shared-yard 30-minute coaching — £35 per rider
Available when two or more riders book consecutive 30-minute sessions at the same yard.

Shorter sessions can work well for younger riders, horses returning to work or those wanting to focus on one particular area. For more detailed training or problem-solving, the 45-minute session is recommended.

Private coaching block bookings

Three 30-minute sessions — £111.15
Five 30-minute sessions — £185.25
Three 45-minute sessions — £128.25
Five 45-minute sessions — £213.75

Block bookings provide a 5% saving. Blocks of three must be used within three weeks and blocks of five within five weeks. Full Terms and Conditions apply.

Riding Schools, Clubs and Equestrian Teams

I offer flexible freelance coaching and training for riding schools, equestrian centres, clubs and other equestrian organisations.

Alongside regular riding-school instruction—from grassroots riders through to more advanced training—I can provide staff development, BHS exam preparation, clinics, workshops and talks.

Sessions can be tailored around the needs of your team or clients and may include:

Riding-school instruction and cover

Dressage, jumping and polework clinics
Coaching nervous or anxious riders
Rider confidence, mindset and sports psychology
Rider fitness and biomechanics

Remote Coaching

Enjoy live, individual coaching in your own arena, wherever you are.

Remote coaching works much like an in-person lesson. Using live video and audio, you can hear my guidance through a pair of wireless headphones while I watch you ride and coach you throughout the session.

What you will need:

• A pair of wireless headphones
• A mobile phone, iPad or similar device
• A good internet or mobile-data signal
• FaceTime, WhatsApp video or another agreed video-calling app

Your phone or device can be positioned safely in a suitable corner of the arena, or a friend can hold it and follow you as you ride.

If you are unsure whether the signal at your arena is strong enough, this can be checked before you book. Before your first session, I will also explain the simple setup and make sure everything is working correctly. You do not need to be confident with technology.

Remote coaching can help with:

• Working through a particular training difficulty
• Providing structure and focus when you ride alone

It is particularly useful if you live outside my usual travelling area, cannot access regular local coaching or would like additional support between in-person lessons.

You still receive individual, real-time feedback tailored to you and your horse—just without me needing to be physically present at the arena.

Schooling and riding

Schooling ride — from £35 for approximately 30 minutes

This price applies when the horse is caught, groomed, tacked up and ready to ride. Thirty minutes allows for a purposeful schooling session suited to the horse’s fitness, needs and current stage of training.

If catching, grooming, tacking up, untacking or other yard duties are required, these can be included for an additional charge.

Mindset coaching

One-hour mindset coaching session — £30

Mindset sessions are available for riders, sportspeople and anyone experiencing challenges in everyday life. Sessions can help with confidence, anxiety, motivation, habits, performance and the thoughts or behaviours that may be holding you back.

Holiday cover and groom services

Reliable holiday cover and yard support are available for horses and ponies. This can include feeding, turnout, bringing in, mucking out, grooming and other routine yard duties.

Groom and yard work — from £18 per hour

Holiday-cover visit including yard duties and a 30-minute schooling ride — from £45

Longer visits, multiple horses and additional exercising requirements are quoted individually. Please contact me to discuss your horses, their usual routine and the level of cover required.

Video analysis and online support

Video analysis — £20 for up to 30 minutes

Online consultation — £20

A convenient way to discuss training, performance, confidence, planning or a particular issue when an in-person session is not required.

Clubs, centres and group coaching

Coaching is also available for riding schools, riding clubs, Pony Clubs and other equestrian organisations. Please contact me to discuss your requirements and receive an individual quotation.

Clinics, courses and training weekends

Clinics can be arranged for groups and venues, with prices depending on the format, number of riders and location. Arena or venue hire is charged separately.

Travel

Travel is included within 25 miles. Longer journeys may be possible and will be quoted individually.
